Faculty of Stomatology

Faculty of Stomatology

Brief Introduction

The Faculty of Stomatology at Muslim University was established in 2015 in accordance with the regulations, policies, and laws of the Ministry of Higher Education, and in full alignment with modern medical standards and norms. Since its inception, the faculty has made significant progress in a short period and has established itself as a competitive academic institution among the country’s leading medical and educational centers.

Currently, hundreds of students are enrolled in the faculty, where instruction is delivered by skilled and experienced professors using the internationally and nationally recognized credit-based system. Graduates of the faculty are awarded the DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree and are qualified to serve the community as professional dental practitioners.

Stomatology is a branch of medicine concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases related to the teeth, gums, and other tissues in and around the oral cavity. Dentists are both scientists and clinical practitioners who provide healthcare services related to oral health. They are trained to identify and treat diseases of the mouth, including oral cancer and systemic illnesses that manifest in the oral cavity. Moreover, dentists play a critical role in preventing the spread of such conditions to other parts of the body.

Vision
The administration of the Faculty of Stomatology is determined to establish and position the faculty as a reputable institution in the field of oral health—including the care of the mouth, gums, teeth, and related areas—by strictly adhering to reliable and evidence-based standards and practices that meet the evolving demands of the time.

Mission
Taking into account the needs of society, the Faculty of Stomatology is committed to training the younger generation by developing a dedicated and skilled workforce, utilizing modern equipment, and ensuring the consistent delivery of both quality theoretical instruction and well-structured practical training.

Departments
The Faculty of Stomatology consists of two non-graduating departments: the Paraclinical Department and the Clinical Department. As a result, students graduate from the faculty without departmental separation; all receive the same qualification upon completion of their studies.
